About Roger Mannon

Who is Roger Mannon? Well, he’s a 72-year-old man twice retired, sitting alone in the dark writing stories for you.Roger retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant. He spent over 20 years traveling all over the globe listening to the communications of our enemies and stealing their secrets.After the military, he retired a second time from a career as a computer network engineer. Now he write stories. Many of them are strange. You might say they live in the shadows on the weird side of the street.When not writing, he spends his time playing with grandkids, camping, or traveling with Judy, his wonderful wife, across the U.S. visiting America’s beautiful cities and national parks.He has self-published three books. The first, Secret Warriors, Psychic Spies, is a true story. The book tells of his time in a top-secret government experiment in psychic warfare. Two others, (Stange Stories and Strange Stories II – The Empty Earth) are works of fiction, collections of short stories. His stories have gathered several honorable mentions in various competitions and one semi-finalist award in a Writers of the Future contest.
