Description

Hello Authors and Poets! After seeing too many indie authors get devastated by negative reviews, and since getting one recently myself, my former psychotherapist persona came back to life. Writing here as the WorryTamer, this booklet is focused on helping writers reframe the demoralization and fear-filled mental loops that often occur when being unfairly criticized. From this booklet the writer/reader learns the psychological roots of why it hurts like hell to get a bad review. Then five easily do-able techniques are given for overcoming the shock that can paralyze our creativity and stymie motivation to improve. In just under 6000 straight to the point words, the reader gets the benefit of my background as an educator, therapist and author. Whether in the realm of health or self-help, to fix, cure, or transform something you first have to name it. The thing you want to change has to be understood at levels deeper than the fact that it simply exists. This booklet provides that understanding. What you’ll find in this quick read are the leverage points for responding differently when a stranger leaves a bad review on work you have poured your heart and soul into.
