Description
Aspen Cambridge lives in a fantasy world. Being the daughter of a famous children’s author, she’s obsessed with make believe and plans to follow in her dad’s footsteps. She has always been known as the weird girl at school with no friends but when her dad dies in an accident, it leaves her feeling more isolated than ever. With nobody to understand her, Aspen plans to get through her junior year and continue her dad’s book series. That is, until she makes friends with Hayden Sawyer, the new boy in school whose father passed away just a year before. She finally found the one person who understands her, and they form a bond like she has never experienced before. With their new friendship, they distract each other from the pain of losing their dads. Along with Hayden and his best friend, Tobey, Aspen soon realizes shes experiencing what she has tried so hard to avoid…growing up without her dad. And when a big secret is revealed, it could threaten their friendship that they worked so hard to build. Together they learn the true meaning of growing up, moving on, and letting go.
