But her son, the young dauphin, has not yet shared her same fate.Imprisoned alongside two others in the Château d’If, the precocious, innocent Louis XVII has no reservations about soon paying for the sins of the Monarchy. But the question is: Should he? And if so, at what cost?This short narrative explores conflicting philosophies on justice, forgiveness, power and the toppling thereof — a phenomenon as old as hierarchy itself — through the eyes of three strangers who are chained together as the country they each experienced differently becomes enveloped in the smog of Revolution.
