To keep the community functional, they decided to bring in outside survivors like me, as long as we agreed to follow their rules. The folks here insist that this is a fresh start; a new beginning for all of us. But I’m not convinced. Or at least I wasn’t. Not until I met Rylee. She might be tough, but even she doesn’t realize just how dangerous this new world is. She may not want anything to do with me, but I’m determined to get her and her friends to safety, no matter the cost. There might just be a little hope left in this world, after all.
